Relaxing

Last night we went and saw a production of Fiddler on the Roof done by the Kimberly Stake. We saw it in the CSI auditorium. They had an orchestra pit and a great actor playing the part of Tevye. He even sounded remarkably like him! The main reason we went is to see my Uncle Garth (dad's brother) play the part of Lazar Wolf. He was great too! It was awesome to realize I come from such talented families :) We are super excited to be in Boise for Thanksgiving and are realizing each day the more things that we have to be grateful for! We are so blessed! Today we are just relaxing the day away. We have set up all our Christmas decor as far as our tree and house lights. We are blessed to get to host, along with Amy and Brett, the Packham family Christmas this year! We are so excited to have everyone here and to be celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Don't forget everyone, the Christmas Devotional is the first Sunday of December so be sure to tune in! I love feeling the special messages of our leaders, especially during the coldest and possibly most dreary time of the year with all the snow and ice. I love it!

Birthday

November 12th was my 22nd birthday! It is weird to now be as old as Andrew was when we married! I want to thank all of you who sent your birthday wishes my way. I am so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people. Andrew took me to go get a massage and dinner for my present. It was amazing! Thank you Honey :)

First Snowfall!

On November 10, 2010, the first snow fell in our little city! It was so crazy and now as I type this there is 1-2 in. of snow on the ground outside!

October Cont...

On the 30th of October we participated in the "Great Pumpkin 5k" at CSI. We did it with Amy and Brett, my parents (Joel and Marie), and my cousin Andrew Martin showed up unexpectedly. Andrew and I walked with my dad and Amy. We also had Sariah and Renetta. My mom and Brett ran together and my cousin Andrew M. ran too! He placed 5th(I think) overall, and 2nd in his age division! Way to go cousin! My mom got third in her age division(I think), and we walkers finished just under 50 minutes. It was so much fun to be out and about. We took a ton of great pictures and had a blast being with family. It was pretty cold, but when we finished the students in the culinary arts program had hot chili and cornbread waiting for us. Delicious! I'm so thankful for days that you can enjoy and look back on and smile. We had so much fun and will hopefully be participating in the run next year! :)

Halloween!

Sorry we haven't posted in in months... so here are October's main events. We went to our ward party and helped with trunk or treat for the Primary. We also brought carved pumpkins for center pieces and some corn bread to go with all the chili. Yummy! We both dressed up. I was an army gal and Andrew was the infamous Mr. Monopoly. We had such a great time and took lots of pictures:)

Corn Harvest!

Around the middle of September, Andrew and I harvested all the big ears off our corn and since then have kind of let the rest die off. Here are our beautiful ears! They were yummy too! )

One More Thing for the Wall

Thanks to my mom for getting us the materials to get this sign finally done! I would like to think I have some crafty ability but I'm pretty sure that it is only a delusion I get every once in a while. I hope you are all well and have a stomach for all my ribbons :)

Our Garden!

Here are some recent pictures of our garden! The radishes went to seed so we took them out. Our green onions are great, we just recently cut the lettuce down and thinned it out after this photo, and our tomatoes are coming on and getting big! Needless to say our corn is also surprising us both in the fact that we have ears of it growing and more starting on the smaller stalks. It's so exciting! For our first time with a garden it has been a great experience!
We are also refinishing a dresser with the help of Brett and Amy. Here are a few pictures of what it looked like when we got it, and we'll post the final result when we finish it up!

Garden Update!

Well el jardin de Farnsworth is growing slowly but surely! :) Our green onions are a little sparse and we think bugs must have got to our carrots or something, because we don't even see anything yet and it's been about a month. So we'll probably replant after putting some kind of bug deterrent down. The corn and lettuce are growing very well. Once summer school is over with, we will be trying to dig out weeds in our lawn and then plant more grass. Life is bueno!

New Family Member!

Just to stop the rumors right here we are not pregnant... One of my co-workers decided to get me a pet for fun! He is a betta fish! His coloring is turquoise and blues. We are still thinking of names, right now he is "Little Jerry", but we are currently taking suggestions also! Sorry the pictures are so blurry :)

See How Our Garden Grows!!

On Memorial Day Monday we finally found the time and the gumption to plant our garden! Now it is actually growing! Who knew! We are so excited to see the progress and will be posting pictures every week. The picture of the pot with all the green buds is full of zinnias and the other one is a hosta plant! We just can't wait to see what we get!

The Packham's renovated house!

Most of you have probably heard that Joel and Marie Packham are moving to the Burley area this summer. Jake and Laura are staying with them for the summer until he starts med school in the fall at Yakima, WA. Jake and Laura have been a huge help in getting the house ready for sale. So I wanted to post the link that shows some of the updates to the house. If you know anyone who is looking for a large home/summer home in a touristy area then you know where to point them to!

Friends and Family time!

Friday we were able to go eat dinner with Trent and Joelle and see Dallin (8 months) He is such a cutie and I was surprised with how chilax he is. Especially since he is teething now. We don't get to see them often since they live in Roosevelt, UT so we were glad they made some time for us while passing through town.
Katelynn came to visit us too and was able to give Karen a wicked-cool hair . . . trim :) Amy, Brett, Katelynn, Karen and I all got to spend Saturday together and we had a lot of fun. We recently bought one of our favorite board games called Moods and played it with Brett and Amy. Can't wait to play it with the rest of you!

Finished Yardwork!!

Thanks to the help of Brett and Amy we were able to finish our garden and path for our backyard. My weak back muscles were killin me afterwords for a few days, but I'm just glad that we got it finished. We will be planting our Zinnia flowers and all our vegetables tomorrow so we hope it will be a success. It has been a joy working on a project like this together . . even if we are amateurs at gardening :) We'll post more if anything starts to grow.

PROJECT:YARDAGE phase 2

Next Phase: Kill grass and weeds in path and garden areas. Spray weeds in lawn area. This was fun... Its a lot of spraying, but it worked! Next we dug up the walkway and the garden area. We also found some broken up concrete down the road that we are using for our little path! We went to Lowe's and got the 2x6's for the garden, and there it is! More to come...

PROJECT:YARDAGE phase 1

Our yard is flat out an eye sore. There are more dandelions than blades of grass I am sure. This inspired Andrew and I to do some revamping! First we decided that we wanted to do a box garden and a path to the back entrance. So we borrowed Brett's sister's lawnmower and cut the yard down. Next phase to come!

Andrew Can COOK!

Lately if Andrew is not busy on Sunday with any homework he makes dinner! It has been great for me to help him and I just get to watch! I love it! Anyway, he made Jane's chicken enchiladas two weeks ago or so and I just wanted to applaud him for a job WELL done! They were amazing! Way to go Haney! :)

Thanks for the help Haney!

I am in charge of sharing times for Primary for April. I put off preparing my lesson till the weekend so I asked Andrew to help me and this little set up is what we ended up with... the lesson is about Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father appearing to Joseph Smith. Hopefully the kiddos like it! I do... Thanks honey! You're wonderful!
